Health and Social Care is studied at KS4. It allows students to undertake a qualification that is interesting and is important in today’s society for the increased employment chances in this industry.
BTEC Level 1/2 Health and Social Care.
Units studied – Unit 1, 2, 5 and 6
Enrichment classes to support revision for the exam.
Social: students learn about families and life within communities regardless of culture
Moral:students learn about duty of care and person centred approach which allows them to understand the difference between right and wrong in HSC environments
Spiritual: students learn about care for others and emotional development through the life stages
Cultural awareness: students learn about cultural diversity within the family and tolerance of others
