Lucy Hannah, Assistant Principal

Working alongside a passionate Senior Leardership Team, Lucy is currently Assistant Principal at Outwood Academy Ormesby for Deep Learning and Deep Experience.

Lucy began her teaching career as a teacher of History at English Martyrs School and Sixth Form College in Hartlepool after completing a PGCE at Durham University, and a Bachelor of Arts at Newcastle University in History, History of Art and Sociology. Lucy joined Outwood Academy Ormesby in September 2015 as Leader of the History Department. Only a few weeks later, she was pleased to join the Senior Leadership Team as Associate Assistant Principal for Deep Learning and Deep Experience. Her intention in this role is to aid staff in good and better teaching, ensuring the effectiveness of pupil voice and encouraging the involvement of students in enrichment and achieving pledges, amongst other initiatives. Lucy's passion lies in the belief that every child should be taught by committed, enthusiastic and hard-working teachers who ensure the highest of standards and she strives to achieve this goal every day.
