Feast of Fun is a partnership of local churches, community groups and schools that offer a range of holiday activities, including healthy snacks and lunches.
For many families the summer holidays are a struggle with the children at home 24/7 and no free school meals, so the weekly budget has to stretch further for food and there is little left for activities and treats. Feast of Fun is a great example of churches, community groups and schools working together to make a difference to hundreds of children and families.
In Summer 2018 Feast of Fun will be working in 23 communities in Middlesbrough and Redcar and Cleveland during the six week school holidays. They are working with even more partners this year, so not only will there be a dozen trips to the North York Moors Centre at Danby, there will also be trips to The Bowes Museum and MIMA, as well as of couple of trips to the sea-side. There is also an exciting expansion of cooking experiences being offered for children thanks to Quorn Foods and Elizabeth's Kitchen.
